Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold was one of the very first PC games I played as a kid. It used the same engine as Wolfenstein3D and was very violent. I remember layered secret walls that would open up into HUGE hidden areas.

A classic gem with secret layers!
At least it isn’t Operation Body Count or Corridor 7, those are the pinnacles of entertainment software. /s
I feel sorry for the developers, it was a fine game but got completely destroyed by Doom coming out at the same time.
Civvie 11 has a great video on this game and a lot of the old classic fps games from back in the day. He’s definitely one of my favorite YouTubers.
Violent? Pfft, nothing on Chex Quest.
I remember games like this where I’d strafe the walls shooting every segment hoping to find a secret wall opening.
