Welcome to the club a lot of took that position when they introduced Uplay as mandatory but we’re always welcoming new people it seems.

This is the problem right here. Even if you successfully navigate their obtrusive DRM, you’ll be eventually be faced with discontinued services, or a litany of technical problems in game which have always existed, but Ubisoft can’t be bothered to fix.
I really would love their games, if they weren’t quite literally unplayable. GOG is the only place I’ll even consider them, and most aren’t available.

Ubisoft is ass all around, they need to get rid of the ubisoft launcher and take risks in their games instead of just making another game with a different skin

imagine giving money to ubisoft…

How do I even begin treasure hunting in the seas?

I went through this and it turned out I somehow bought a dlc through steam but it linked to a 2nd ubisoft account

Ubisoft customer service one of the worst in the world. They never respond. Even when they do, they respond 2 weeks later with auto email. It is completely useless. Dont even bother contacting them.

Gamers just need to get comfortable asking them for permission to play their own games.

I don’t understand. I figured this out 10 years ago. How strong are the rest of your camel’s backs?

Welcome. I had already given up on new Ubisoft games years ago, but earlier this year I just wanted to replay Far Cry 3. Uplay made me re-enter my password to launch the game. After already signing in, with uplay running, launching the game from the button in the uplay client. Even after doing that, and playing for a few hours, it did it again on the next launch. And the next.
I uninstalled all ubisoft games, and the launcher, started up a torrent of a pack with all the Far Cry and AC games, and sent screenshots of every step, along with a picture of my middle finger, to Ubisoft support.

This happened to me when I bought Far Cry : Primal .
I returned the game and made a pledge to never buy another Ubisoft game like yourself

Really desperate for those anti Ubisoft upvotes.

Ironically Ubisoft support has always been good when I had this issue due to having two uplay accounts. And connections between uplay and steam

Same here. Ever since they started withholding quest content from a game at release and only making that available for gold and platinum versions that cost like 150 bucks. Fucking scammers.

well… they’re going out of business, so that works!

Could you have picked up a game that had been unlawfully registered (stolen) but placed back on the shelf by a store clerk to appease an inventory count and avoid being discovered?

Ubisoft literally stole my copy of Division 1. That was when I decided to forever condemn them to hell.

This just happened to my friends entire ubisoft library on steam.

welcome to the seas my friend 🏴☠️

This happened to my friend with Rockstar years ago and now they’ve pledged to never buy another game that requires external verification outside of Steam.

I am in the firm believe that Ubisoft games aren’t even worth pirating (besides the old school titles), maybe if they paid me 10 bucks to play their games I would give it a shot.

the last ubisoft game i bought was AC Origins, and as much as I enjoy that game. I regret giving money to that dumpster fire of a company. They deserve all the shit they get for stuff like this. Hell, over 10 years later and my DLC for AC Black Flag STILL won’t activate or show up in game. and the customer service ticket I have with them for it is STILL marked as unresolved/open. What a pair of fucking clown shoes.
Zhabishe
Ubisoft took away my FC3 DLC’s because they shut down license-validating servers. Ffs, I won’t buy their shit ever again.

Shitting on ubisoft aside, The Division 2 is actually a good game, it’s just sad it never got the playerbase needed to for ubisoft to actually fund it properly.

Who buys Ubisoft games anyway they’re mostly trash nowadays anyway.
