why would you buy a PSU from a case maker. its the same dumbfuckery as buying one from a motherboard vendor. Only buy PSU’s from a company that only makes PSUs

That’s a metal oxide varistor. I guess it died from a surge and protected your other components ?

I had the exact same PSU with the exact same problem:
Opened it up and it was also the MOV arcing in the case. Lian Li sent a replacment but I opted for a Corsair instead.
As for people afraid of opening a PSU, if you don’t know the hazards or what your doing then don’t touch it, many of us are aware of the hazards, know how to test for it, work around them safely or remove the threat entirely.

they are B tier on psu cultist list, if their price was right I would buy for myself and/or recommend them to others, until further notice. One failed psu out of thousands is selection bias, we don’t even know if it was used properly 😛

The NTC look kinda between well done and smoke. And the PFC out cap looks fine just some smoke around it.
I think u should check ur power not the psu.
