Upgraded my almost 10 year old PC!

Screen: ASUS PG278QR TN -> ASUS XG27AQDMG Glossy OLED (huge difference in picture quality)
Motherboard: ASUS Z170 -> MSI 650 Tomahawk
CPU: i5 6600k -> R5 7600X
GPU: ASUS GTX 1070 STRIX -> ASUS TUF RTX 4070 SUPER
Ram: Corsair 16GB DDR4 -> Kingston 32GB DDR5
PSU: Still using the same RM650x from Corsair, works perfectly fine.
Case: Still using the same Fractal Design R5, built like a tank. Love that it is soundproofed and very quiet. However thinking of upgrading to the R7 Compact (smaller version) with a window sidepanel and that has a shroud which mine does not.

So happy with how it turned out and the performance of my PC now. Playing on Ultra with 200+ (300+ in fps games) FPS using DLSS on Auto/Balanced.

  1. You getting huge fps on 1440p! Glad you choose 7600X for more future proofing

    How’s that 7600X / Peerless Assassin SE combo treating you? Temps good?

    Mine likes to run a bit hot but I am told that’s normal for 7000 series chips.

    I raised an eyebrow at that 650w PSU at first, but then remembered that GPU’s actually got more efficient this gen and was pretty stoked for ya cause it will still be well within the limits. Also the RMX power supplies are top notch! Absolutely huuuuge upgrades 💪🏼
