For all the shit Linux gets, I haven’t ever been forced to install an update on my Linux laptop, and when I choose to update I certainly haven’t worried about my system randomly failing for the next few days.

I honestly don’t know how so many people have so many problems with Windows Update. I think maybe once back in the XP days I had an update break something, and that was when I was using the weird x64 build that didn’t get a lot of support and nothing had drivers because I decided my first build should be an Athlon 64.
