One is called Hothead and has been documented by several youtubers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS3gXBEwnTY – it involves you driving a car while a passengers hacked cyberware that is being held for ransom is repaired, you have to avoid drivers coming to attack you. I am guessing this is why it was cut during development due to driving combat mechanics being quite borked.

The first person to find and post the 3 cut gigs that were later restored + Hothead said in the comments here that they found a 5th but it was too corrupted to make a video out of. I've never seen anyone else post video of it unfortunately.

So why has CDPR chosen not to fix these? Hotheads driving combat mechanics issue is fixed now in the game, would there be something else wrong with the mystery 5th? Were they deemed not worh the time? Were they just forgotten about?

Because they find the game a mess to fix and are abandoning it to work on a better investment.

Plenty of games have unfinished / scrapped content buried in the code that never sees the light of day. It is what it is.

They could make millions releasing a simple extra gig pack. I’m offended they don’t want to make money.

Tampering with the code of the game to finish the gigs is like playing jenga. Pull out the wrong block and the whole edifice comes crashing down.

They’re done with the game. If they fix it they have to test it, fix more bugs the fix caused, fix the bugs the fix for the fix caused, QA, all while we angrily demand Witcher 4 and CP2078.

Game has content that really couldn’t reasonably be finished without massive effort and resources. More at 11.

Seriously though, there will always be things that have to be cut because they don’t really work, or because it doesn’t gel with the mechanics, or even if it’s just putting it on ice for the next game. There’s probably a dozen or so quests/gigs that never even made it into the bin files. Scripts, models, chunks of code.

Based on your description, Hothead just sounds like it was merged/replaced with exploding penis guy.
