“And Jackie’s only good at SOME things.. i know you know what i mean hehe” – what did he mean?

He’s implying he’s all brawn no brains essentially

  2. That Jackie is not clever enough to carry out negotiations on his own.

You are the brains – he is the muscle. He’s trying to make you feel important by making you think you’re above him, but in reality you’re also just muscle. Him and T bug are the brains.

He’s saying Jackie is a moron. Which…Jack wasn’t the brightest, but I still think Dex is being overly mocking here.

He is not good at violence and intimidation.

For some reason, I think talking up the ladies and other stuff. But Jackie might be easily distracted when it come to some things. He is a man of action.

He’s implying Jackie is a hothead which proves to be true on the very next mission when Jackie almost blows the talk with maelstrom over being asked to take a seat for the discussion. The Jackster is not the guy you send to negotiate. He’s the guy you send after talking fails. Dex knows this.

Looking at V and Jackie my assumption would be they’re a one two punch. V is the brain and Jackie the brawn. Which is supported by the cyberdeck in V’s head during the Dorset recovery. They’re a beginner level netrunner and Jackie is an obvious solo. If I had to pick one of them to do the talking, I would automatically pick V too.

Jackie was a real choom, but he wasn’t brightest bulb on the stage. Even by sake of agreeing to work with Dex.

I remember thinking Dex was so cool and smooth in my first playthrough but now everything he says just makes me cringe like he’s a fake poser.

Remember the scene when you’re negotiating the payment. Jackie is the only one in the room giving away his nerves by tapping his foot. Everyone else is stone still and not letting anything show in their body language during the negotiations except Jackie. Jackie is good during the fight against Maelstrom, but that’s all he’s good at he’s a low-level ganger, not ready for the big-time. He shows such nervousness in your first ever contract negotiation just shows how he’s not ready versus how V is.

Speaking of this cunt, Rick Ross would make a great live action casting.

i disagree with people saying dex thinks jackie is stupid, i dont think thats what he means, i think he means he is a wrecking ball.

jackie is a hammer and when the room is full of nails, he is a perfect man for the job. konpeki isnt full of nails, thats all he was saying. konpeki needed finesse that a hammer doesnt bring, V had the finesse. where jackie might not have made it through the front door, with V, he does, and equally so, without jackie V may have been stuck in the lobby too. thats why they were a team.

if jackie was stupid he would be a complete liability and he wouldnt be wanted on the job at all, jackie isnt stupid, in fact, if it wasnt for yorinobu killing saburo, the job would have gone perfectly and that would not have been in spite of jackie being involved. jackie is smart enough to know and understand his role and stick to it and let other people who have other skills fulfill theirs.

jackie stepped on just as many rungs as V, he just did it his own way.

I interpreted it as “Jackie is a well-meaning doofus, and he’s competent enough for small jobs, but not someone I can trust with something this big.”

Jackie would be perfect for the meet with Evelyn if y’all were shaking her down for Eddies or intimidating info outta her. V is more of a “people person” and generally cooler headed than Jackie, who may be personable but isn’t quite right for the kinda meeting you’re going to.

Jackie is good at tackling a machine gun guy through a wall but not corporate infiltration and theft and general spy stuff
