Were Samurai fans confident that Johnny’s gun wouldn’t go off by mistake in front of them, or just really f*cking stupid?

By mistake? Probably. On purpose? That’s why they show up.

  2. Treyman1115

They probably wanted it to happen because that’s punk rock and shit

  3. Vicious00

People who go to a punk rock anarchist concert don’t exactly have safety as the first priority.

  4. SoulLess-1

They are fans of Johnny Silverhand, so probably the second option.

  5. Michaeli_Starky

That’s the last thing they would be worried about

  6. ClockworkDreamz

If Johnny shoots you it’s awesome duh.

They’d think it’s awesome. It’s the kind of stupid, dangerous, edgy bullshit that Johnny Silverhand was known for. I *believe* he once executed a corpo in front of a crowd at one of his shows. The guy was a lunatic, but he was a lunatic with a massive following who once convinced five or six thousand fans to attack Arasaka HQ once. Rockerboys are dangerous like that.

  8. For an underground heavy metal concert, that is pretty tame for what you see on stage. I once witnessed a guy cut open a doll of Jesus with a WW2 bayonet, proceed to pull out a realistic looking (and hopefully fake) fetus and then eat it while 2 other band members went on to sodomize the doll. One of the sodomizers was a woman wearing a strap on.

He was drunk as hell. And so are the audience.

You clearly aren’t into punk rock scene. They were there for IF it went off. Either way people would be thrilled. They probs didn’t even know he’d have it out when he came on stage. People in masses are collectively and generally dumber and less scared than as an individual.

Are they stupid? Is there a lore reason?

  12. DismalMode7

that live show never actually happened… in 2013 samurai were already disbanded from years, kerry was a succesfull world known rockstar

I’m going with drunk, high, and stupid.

  14. Poolturtle5772

I mean, the second could also be true, but it’s punk concert with popular punk band known for doing punk shit.

It would be disappointing if someone DIDNT get shot.

This is nightcity. Most people are stupid here.

  16. Roberthen_Kazisvet

If there is no one dead after a concert, it wasnt good concert.

  17. Stoned_Oniichan

Imagine getting shot by THE JONNY SILVERHAND!

  18. Rebmob7577

Venues like pictured typically attract those who are too gonked out (including IRL) to care

  19. mrsecondbreakfast

They’re samurai fans. They’re definitely stupid (affectionate)

Johnnys gun couldn’t just “go off”. quality firearms now don’t just randomly discharge and I doubt that’ll change in the future

  21. Endlesslypoetic

I feel like half the allure of a Samurai show was seeing the increasing erratic antics of a fucked up Johnny 😂

There are several dozen people, maybe more than a hundred. One person will die from the shot. The rest will not be harmed. But their world is the world of armed gangs. The chances of dying in a shootout after the concert are many times higher than the chances of dying from Johnny’s accidental shot. Is it worth spoiling your mood from such an insignificant probability?

would be the 179th near-death experience they had that day, at least this one has a bar.
