The very core of cyberpunk is political. Asking it to not be woke and to not critique politics and society is like wanting to go swimming, but then bitching about getting wet.
I cannot think of a game with more natural feeling diversity than Cyberpunk 2077. I have no clue what they’re smoking.

Issues of race and identity by in large are a thing of the past because thanks to cyberware and surgery you can quite literally look how you truly want and be who you want to be and the excessively globalized societies that remain have long since gotten over who’s from where because it’s all the same shitty hamburger they gotta eat. The only ones who are racist are people like Saburo and Donald Lundy who were born in a completely different world and time where that was still relevant and they’re closer to being aggressively nationalist tbh

The entire cyberpunk genre has always been socially and politically aware. It’s part of the bedrock that makes it so great.

Cyberpunk was released just before it was cool to hate woke things that have existed for quite a few years now but only complained because an orange turd showed his face in American politics and riled these fools up, to the point it’s not really about wokeness.

People may joke about a random using the word ‘woke’, I just see it as a word used by people not happy with the direction of games.
So give it a few years, there is a real risk of change as Orion is being made in Boston. A big part of CDRed’s games is the Polish take on media, once you have a bunch of Americans the feel of the game will change.
Cyberpunk in Anime/Manga is shaped by Japan, Cyberpunk in American books is shaped by America. Cyberpunk in Cyberpunk 2077 is shaped by Poland, moving to America will change the game in a big way.

As a pretty entrenched Liberal I also hope the woke bullshit is over sooner than later. Some “woke” things are good. I’m all for being nicer to people. But the heavy handed stuff and the intense judgement is very much bullshit. The gender/race swapping and inclusion for the sake of inclusion is often so blatant it distracts from the content entirely.
I’ll give you two perfect examples.
1: the new scooby doo is honestly disgraceful. It’s woke BS in every shape and form.
2: In Rings Of Power it’s been accused of woke BS but it hasn’t been that at all. Durin and his wife are one of the best things the show has going for it. Likewise the black elf Arondir just fits in with the story and is simply playing an awesome part. You kind of don’t even notice till someone brings it up.
Bonus Example: In nearly everything Kathleen Kennedy produces it’s blatant woke BS. I just watched the new Indiana Jones movie. I didn’t think they could do our friend Indy worse than that Crystal Skull BS. But holy crap. WTF. That’s a woke bait ‘n switch if I’ve ever seen one. Culminating in this slender woman punching Indy flat out.
Either way the woke BS is real people. Why do I hate it most? Cuz it’s making the case for populist far right people to build on. They say the left are hypocrites and live in a fantasy world then point to this stuff and what do you know… they appear to be the truth tellers. Trump’s entire campaign, which he still might freaking win, is based on hatred of the woke BS. Pretending it’s not a thing only gives them their power.
Did I notice it in Cyberpunk? Not at all really. But I’m going to speak out against it when the comment section is going to be full of people who are hurting the causes they think they’re supporting. The woke bullshit is why millions of people lost their access to reproductive rights and the woke BS is going to blame others instead of holding themselves accountable for it. I’ve had enough of it and the world has too frankly. I’ve had enough toxic BS from the right and left. I wish the idiots would put a damper on the noise and let the adults who understand that right/left people actually are fine to get along run things again while they play with their food at the kid’s table.
