Timesplitters 2 had a ton of unlockable characters, a map editor, a fantastic MP mode with a ton of maps, a challenges mode, and a story mode that played differently depending on the difficulty selected.
A gold standard that is barely met today, if at all.

And 4 player split screen co op along with a great difficulty setting that added extra tasks. Oh and a playable game of snake.

Just seen them on the ps store I might load them up again to see if I remember how to play

The ginger bread man that says “bite my crunchy ass” When you pick him was hilarious to me as a kid

This game was so good. My little brother and I put in crazy hours on just the demo. I think we got the demo disk from a copy of PS magazine or something.

TS2 was so great. I had it on GameCube and played countless hours.
It was awesome getting to make maps and play them with friends.

My favorite game series, I played the heck out of Future Perfect with my brother and friends years ago.

Timesplitters in my household was the Goldeneye for us on Gamecube. Games then had all the challenges and actual rewards for playing them. Timesplitters 1 is actually on PSN right now too

Does anyone know if there’s a way to play TS/TS2 these days, on modern hardware?
I don’t have an original Xbox to mod and I’m certainly not gonna buy Homefront just for the arcade cabinet

There is no pain greater than realizing you will never be 16 again playing time splitters 2 all night at your friend’s house.

For PSN subscribers Time Splitters, 2, and Future Perfect are all on the service now.

I’m pretty sure my friends and I spent more hours in the TS2 mapmaker, than we spent sleeping during highschool.

TS 2 might just be my favorite game of all time. What I would do for a remaster

Not just future perfect, but past perfect too.

Whoever played as The Monkey in multiplayer, I loathe you.

My friend and I put so, SO many hours into TS2 as kids! Almost completed all missions on all difficulties, but could never get past Robot Factory on the hardest 😡
This brings back so many fond memories. Hours upon hours of playing this with friends.

Timesplitters 4 was rumored to be in the works, but the studio got shutdown… This year

TS2, four wave bird controllers, a full bong, three other people on the couch next to me and a 20-something body (mine, not a random one).
It’s hard living in the twilight of a once-great civilization.

TimeSplitters was the highlight of my childhood! The chaos of the mapmaker and all those wild characters—it’s like a time capsule of pure fun. Who else remembers turning the monkeys into our secret weapons?
I used to play Timesplitters 2 a lot in high school, once I got a report for defending a girl from an idiot, got in a fight and they called my mom.
She was so angry and she grounded me for 1 month without video games, I only had a GameCube and a PSX so she took the controller of the PSX and the video cable of the GameCube, weird choice but I was out of gaming.
A friend lend me a pair of video cables for GameCube so I hid’em in my backpack and started playing timesplitters 2 while she was at work.
I remember creating maps, playing with the bots, creating different games out of it, when you’re in need it’s when you really get creative, so that game allowed me to spend the month without going insane as I used to game daily.

Goldeneye -> Perfect Dark -> Halo -> Time splitters 2
The major timeline of my split screen FPS childhood before Halo 2 and Xbox live. Though I technically played Quake III online via Dreamcast and Halo online via Xbox Connect.

Saving this post. It is my Roman empire. I was alwaysade fun of by a few different friend groups when they came over and I was like YALL GONNA PLAY TIME SPLITTERS 2?! They always memes and laughed at me. They still played it tho, and hated I was a short monkey running around murking them.
It’s a game I always hoped I’d wake up and see a new TS release coming.
