How powerful people have declined

  1. However, they had already collapsed around ten years before to all of this.

Some people are focused on the “black samurai” controversy (typical noise from social media bubbles, the bait worked again), but the biggest red flag is the Assassins Creed Infinity thing. Depending on how much the public rejects AC Shadows, the loud minorities (“woke” vs “anti-woke”) or the sane players who are sick and tired of the game as a service model, if either stir the masses to avoid AC Infinity, there’s a realistic chance Ubisoft can implode, forced to fire people, Guillemot leaving the company and everything

I’m very comfortable not owning any Ubisoft games.

Wait what does the battlepass in assassin’s creed work. Is it not a single player game anymore?

  5. Maelstrom-Brick

They should be comfortable not owning our money anymore as we pass on their games that we would not be owning once paying for…

The equivalent to Elon making the cybertruck.

Next step is getting hacked from watch dogs players

  8. Snow-Crash-42

And he was right, we got very comfortable not owning any of the Ubisoft games. Like, not buying them. GENIUS.

The real shame is Assassins Creed showed the world that people really like playing in historical settings, only for Ubisoft to go full “Nah fuck that”.

People want to dabble in history, with a modicum of mild accuracy. One of the best uses for the field is not just reflection, but learning. We all could have benefited from writing history-based stories with period technology, but nope had to black samurai it.

The last one should be a notice that seas: “Deer costumer, even though you bought our game digitally, you do not own it. When we discontinue support, you will no longer be able to access it.”

    Their income statement says otherwise….

Im very comfortable not owning ubisoft games as in I dont buy their games at all.

been following ubisofts downfall since 2008 when farcry2 on ps3 came with a disclaimer about ingame advertisements. knew then that they were going downhill… altho i dont recall actually seeing an ad.

Still not 100% why everyone went up in arms about the not owning games deal. We kinda dont currently. If you have digital its basically a rental and being downloadable could vanish anyday, unless you keep it downloaded and servers dont go down ever.

    Everything else they are crazy.

  15. Affectionate_Fix8942

ubisoft CEO needs to be comfortable with “not having a job”.

  16. Dr-False

Well I hope they got comfortable not owning my money. I’d say it was hard, but considering their last few games, that’d be a lie.

  17. CarlWellsGrave

Stop acting like you own your stream games.

Once I read that Ubisoft is in the middle of a hostile takeover, it all made sense. They’re intentionally trying to tank the stock price so they can remove those that are currently in power. The stupid decisions are intentional.
