10 year old GPU, it’s not worth much monetarily or in terms of function.
That’s not to say you couldn’t toss it in a system and play older games with it, but it’s probably not very efficient compared to anything modern, either.
Frame it
Create a media centre I suppose? Get a colossal hard drive and sail the seas, stick it in the living room/lounge/wherever and play tv shows, films, etc. off it.
Maybe install it into a PC you want to use as an emulator for older games or something? It’ll be equivalent up to about the PS4 in 1080/60 I think so you won’t be missing too much.

I have a 780ti that ran fornite on a 4k monitor on low/medium setting for my son. It shocked me how well it did.
Since these lost driver support it’s difficult to even find a buyer, I’d disassemble it and frame it
You can admire it.
It still looks pretty clean. I would use it as wall/shelf decoration. The old TI’s look really good.
Not really worth putting it in any systems. The power draw is really not efficient for what it does by today’s standard.

Put it in a second hand tower and fold some virtual proteins
Keep it as testing card or give to a friend that doesn’t have a GPU
It looks awesome, display it somewhere
Can always just keep it around for trouble shooting.

retro gaming pc. there are a many of older games you can have a lot of fun with. not a bad card 🙂
Make it part of a PC for a distributed computing project? Every hertz helps AFAIK.
Still a decent card, 2 years ago it would be my dream with my geforce 210 💀
They’re the last supported family of GeForce cards supported in macOS. You could build a Hackintosh and pass the GPU through to the OS.
I have a 710 and would appreciate the novelty of using a 780 like this.
Back up gpu, my 980ti is still trucking and wqs in active use up till two weeks ago in my step sons pc, now its resting.
Frame it or gift it to someone less fortunate.
It’s never a bad thing to have an extra known good GPU for troubleshooting or as a backup if you have to RMA your primary for warranty or something to at least have a usable PC, even if you won’t really be gaming on it.
Too little performance for most things and for the rest, it consumes too much power. Not worth for a media server etc.
It’s about as good as a GTX 970 and I’m still playing with my GTX 970 to this day! It’s not as bad as people say specially considering that you’ve got it “for free”, you can build a secondary PC if you already have one more capable than that and have it running on another room of your house, play most stuff natively and stream from your main rig to it.
That’s funny, I just bought a 780ti today. I’m going to use mine to replace the 2x HD5850’s in my Windows XP system. The 780ti should give it a nice performance boost…
well you can’t play newer games but you should be fine with older games maybe lowering some settings on the most “heavier” ones
or you can make a retrogaming station! you should be fine from ps2 generation or lower games, maybe even wii and GameCube
Totally depends. It’ll play some older games beautifully or work as video out for any pc that doesn’t have great integrated graphics (or for a multi monitor office setup). These kinds of cards and 2nd hand components in general are also amazing for getting kids or nephews/nieces into gaming computers and teaching them to build them.

Keeping it in an anti-static bag while it’s not in use would be a good idea.
