Built my PC new in 2016. For the time it was pretty good! 32gb ram, i7-5820k and a GTX1060 6GB card.
I've got two kids now so I finally managed to save up enough to 'upgrade' myself to a GTX1080TI! That should get me another 12 or so months before needing to do a full new PC build.
A happy dad who treated himself with a small gift!

And you got the sexiest version of the 1080 ti
Back when video cards still fit in the case!
Good for you man. I finally bought a GPU for the first time in like 5 years. Always put it off because money was tight at times. Finally said F it treat yo self and got a 7800XT. Think my next one in 5 years I’ll go with Nvidia. Maybe.
Replace the thermal pads NOW. Evga thermal pads are leaking corrosive oil hat corrodes and destroys the pcb. Every evga 10 and 20 series was plagued with it. Cleaning it will be hard but your card will live.
Congrats, GTX 1080ti is pretty good for 1080p
Now waiting for “you could save 200$ instead and buy 4080 “ comments
