When you select “Wont abandon you.”
V says they would have helped her anyway, and I believe them. They helped so many along the way even when they were on borrowed time, simply because they were chooms.
The way I played V even if songbird never lied to me, I would’ve fought for her freedom and life anyway.
It’s just tragic as hell that after everything song went through, she couldn’t bring herself to trust anyone at all. Her apologizing at the end, giving you an out like that, idk. It feels like it’s all the guilt catching up to her. Breaks my heart.

This one gets me every time… I just want to give her a hug and tell her it’s all going to be ok.
This and how Reed pretty much lies to us from the start.
Plus how Songbird was blackmailed into joining the NUSA under threats to her friends and family.
Also, how Songbird reminds V of Jackie (by even a little bit) and V wants to make amends for unintentionally causing Jackie’s death (maybe Reed’s gaslighting call + Reed and Alex killing the netrunner twins in cold blood reminded them of how Dex nearly killed them).
Plus how Reed wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice himself to make up for his past mistakes.
For all we know, Myers groomed Songbird to be a manipulator and the second she lost control, she became a loose end and was deemed a “traitor” like V was.
It might explain why Alex wasn’t so reluctant to forgive us for killing him. She knew that Reed would’ve and has sacrificed himself to save both V and Songbird. Either that or she knew that Reed’s blind loyalty would’ve gotten himself killed one day. She also knew that V didn’t betray Reed for selfish reasons, V betrayed Reed because Songbird needed help and V was the only person she trusted (even if she did lie to us about getting us the cure).
