I think you are right… Way too high speed into the corners. Cannot tell if you are even braking before corning, and potentially if you are braking IN the corners when it is too late… Loosing traction and destabilising the car a lot by hitting curbs and other cars… This game has slightly more realistic driving mechanics than more arcade style games. You need to drive it more realistically.
BTW: RWD cars, specially high HP ones, are the most challenging to drive. Try a 4WD or FWD car instead, they are a lot more forgiving.

Don’t blame yourself. Some of the cars in this game feel like they have soap suds on the tires. Do a couple of DLC gigs for the best fixer in NC with the worst haircut, “El Capitán”, and then you’ll never worry about another car again.

Me too. I prefer an arch or Yaiba. However, the only time I used an HP car was when I stole Tyger claw during the lost eye gig and used that car for the side mission, saving the guy who had a burning crotch.

The Javelina is just a really crap car, I hate it, turns like crap and has no traction. The Outlaw and Caliburn are both faster and have FAR harsher turning and handling arcs than that teenager boy’s wet dream car.
