This is my current desk and i’m hoping to extend the right hand side to turn it into an L. But unsure how to approach this seeing the nature of the desk.
The desk is 33” tall and is simply a 96”x25” butcher block placed on top of stainless steel risers screwed into Ikea Alex Drawers.
I attached another picture in the comments of the right hand side of this desk. I have a mini fridge which just so happens to be the exact same height (~27”) as the Alex Drawer units without the risers and top.
My current thoughts are a 33” tall 4 leg desk, that can stand in of Alex drawer unit without obstructing the actually opening of the drawers. This would extend over the fridge and effectively utilize the fridge as a third leg at the end of the new desk section.
Looking for any feedback or suggestions.

Here’s the image of the right hand side and the fridge.
Maybe move the left drawer and desktop over to the left. Get a new desktop and place it on top of the right drawer. You can get a support leg or a wall bracket to support the right side of your current desktop
When I had my L desk I moved the right drawer over for the L part and screwed some 2×4 into the wall (into the studs) to make a ledge for the table top to rest on, and then grabbed some straight flat brackets from Home Depot and sistered the two tables together. Then caulked the seam with silicone (colour matched) to give it a nicer finish. You could always put a desk leg there but I wanted a completely open space under the desk.
