I recently bought a placeholder Ryzen 7700 for my AM5 platform until I could buy a better one and decided to play around with PBO. I ran 1usmus's Hydra diagnostics and it gave me -50 on all cores. I disbelieved the result and configured PBO directly in the BIOS. I used it for days without any problems, completely stable.

Edit: Run OCCT, 3 Cycles with 105W. Multi, Core-cycle and AVX512. Stable, so far.

Just to be sure, I ran the detailed diagnostics for a few hours.
Is this common for Zen4? I've seen people extremely happy to be able to optimize to -40.

  1. Is this a 90 second stress test per core?

    Yeah, you should probably test for longer. E.g. with OCCT or with CoreCycler (with y-cruncher as the test program and 19-ZN2 ~ Kagari as the test mode).

    -50 is insane. You can use it for 30 years without problem.

    Hydra gave me exaugurated results as well, but then it all crashed in a simple default OCCT 5 min cpu avx2 test.

    If it passes in that, then congrats!

    You should also be checking with Aida64’s SHA and FPU Julia benchmarks (I just run each one 15-20 times in rapid succession). I forget which is which, but one is a pretty potent test of standard Zen 4 stability, and the other does the same for X3D models. I run both on either because I figure, if you’re gonna stability test, you might as well be thorough.

    Wow. Thats insanity. Coming from a 7950x3D, which anything under -20 would result a crash, having -30 -35 CCD0 and -45 -50 CCD1 on my 9950x (Passed 45 mins CoreCycler/ Prime95, and 12 hr Prime95 blend test) I thought I’ve hit jackpot. Congrats on the real jackpot
