If Phil doesn’t respond to this by coming out of the gate with the Series X refresh being priced the same as the current one with a price drop for the old one, then he doesn’t deserve his job anymore.

Pro consoles should replace the previous consoles at their original price point and essentially become the new best way to enter that consoles generation. They shouldn’t be released mid life cycle at a massive price increase, because no one has a reason to buy them. We all JUST got PS5s. Hell, they’ve hardly even made a single PS5 only game.

They announce at $700 with no disc drive and no stand. We all hate them for it. In a few weeks they announce they’ll bundle the disc drive + stand + a game with every PS5 Pro. The internet rejoices and Sony is a hero again.
Meanwhile they still increased the price to $700 anyway, which is what they wanted all along?
