    It’s always like that or similar. Since game is fully in first person, devs didn’t bother with these things.

    It doesn’t usually look like that, reload your save. That being said, the actual shadow isn’t much better either, you would think V has some serious neck pain

    V’s shadow was broken completely in the 2.0 update. At some point during the middle of the story, probably near the end of the voodoo boys mission, the shadow just breaks for some reason.

    V is actually a formless eldritch abomination, third person reveals this. However it’s NightCity, so no one notices nor cares.

    Path tracing betrays the jank of CDPR’s first-person character models. If you turn off all path/ray tracing your shadow will be fine, but everything else looks worse imo.

    The V character model since we’re never supposed to see it in regular third person gameplay has no proper animations for this stuff, unfortunately the shadow tells all.

    The player shadow is so bad. I hated using a pistol and the shadow look all stupid with a pistol in one hand
