the first pc i played on had Intel GMA 3100 integrated graphics paired with 4GB of DDR2 RAM and an Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 CPU at 1.6
GHz. i remember little me was so ecstatic playing og skyrim at 320×240 with swiftshader and the low-res mod, pumping out no more than maybe 10-15 fps.
fast forward and i'm 21 now. i've seen multiple advancements in computer technology. i went from playing on a 2007 pre-built that could barely run Windows 10 to building and gaming on the computer of my dreams, able to play most games at the highest settings and framerates, even at 4k.
looking back i never would've thought it was possible. i did get really lucky at times, hand-me-down parts, even a whole new PC one time from family, but it is an expensive hobby and i wouldn't really have enough money to upgrade or build my own PC until i got a job at 18.
i guess the point i'm trying to make is that if you're a pc gamer and you don't have the best parts or can't afford them but want a really nice PC or setup in the future, keep pushing to achieve that dream. save up, get a job, and connect with others who have the same interest. it can take years but it's worth it. i promise. as with all things in life, it takes time.
