It’s a 11 years (almost 12) old mechanical drive of insignificant capacity. Cheap new SATA SSD is faster, more reliable and consumes less power. There is absolutely no reason to use 1TB hard disks anymore.
8-20TB, yes, they are useful for storage in NAS systems.

Then test it out thoroughly. There are multiple programs that can do this. I use the paid version of Hard Disk Sentinel and run a reinitialize on my HDDs before putting them into service.
If the drive checks out, put it to work.
