According to a leaker: For RDNA4 expect ~7900xt performance with 4070ti RT (for 8800xtx) and around 7700xt performance for the 8600xt
More toms click bait garbage. AMD hasn’t tried to have a flagship gpu in almost 10 years. They have no interest in having the top dog gpu and are more interested in competing in the mid range. This isn’t news. They have repeated this strategy every gen, competing in the segments Nvidia doesn’t care about. Which is why every gen you see awful pricing from Nvidia in their mid range (4060 anyone) You can downvote me (lol) or use google and find statements from AMD going back a decade stating they do not have any interest in competing in the high end segment. I swear this sub is filled with children these days. If this is news to you, you must have literally been born yesterday.
AMD Continuing to gaslight customers on why they shouldn’t need a Nvidia flagship competitor when they clearly made comparisons to the 4090 with the 7900XTX marketing slides and yet, they later stated customers don’t want a 4090 competitor with “600 W TDP”

My understanding is that AMD will focus on building midrange graphic engines and they could scale them by putting several together in a single GPU.
But last I remember there was feedback that addressing this part of the chiplet design was harder than expected. Did we get any news on that topic lately suggesting it’s progressing enough that a consumer GPU could use it?
Can it be they’ll stop aiming at their own legs? No clown launches anymore maybe? Competitive prices on all products and not just previous gen?? Shocking if so

I am old and as an old person, I remember buying nice GPU-Upgrades for 200-250 EUR (9800 Pro, 1950, 4870, 7870, R9 380)… and the 6700 XT cost me 500 EUR (yes, in 2021 and yes, fighting against bots on the AMD-store page every thursday for weeks)
I hope they get back to 6 display engines on a card. Sucked to have to return my RX 7900 XTX and acquire a second hand RX 6800 when I had to upgrade from my RX 580
Translation:
“We can not compete with nVidia at the flagship level, we might be able to compete on budget/ultra-budget with Intel, but we can do middle-end GPUs well.”
That is bad for the market….
We want a competitive market as it pushing the industry forward
It’s a shame because if AMD was competitive for flag ships I’d actually get one.
