I’ve recently started using a left-hand vertical mouse at work to reduce shoulder/arm strain on my dominant right side. Surprisingly easy to adjust – even though I do precision mouse work.

I like them for any task, gaming or otherwise. Right now usin’ a Logitech Lift, seems pretty good. Can’t say I’ve used a ton of models to compare it with though. It’s definitely increased my comfort I would say.

Bit painful initially, but not remotely as bad as the wrist pain that caused me to switch. Never could aim as well in shooters as a regular mouse, but that wasn’t much of a problem.
However then the mouse died on me, and I realised how much of a pain the selection and prices are.

I use one at work. Between working at a computer all day and gaming at home, I noticed my wrist would sometimes ache after using a mouse for 8+ hours. I haven’t had any discomfort in the 2+ years since the switch. I recommend them if you are concerned about ergonomics for productivity work. I wouldn’t want to use it for gaming — it does restrict the way you use the move and makes it more difficult to make quick movements.

I use a “halfway” Logitech MX Master 3 for editing and day-2-day. it elevates the wrist, but not nearly as much as a vert.
The sensors are pretty bad for gaming though, plus I claw grip for gaming so I switch to a Keychron M3 Mini

I had used one for the longest time for gaming. Still use it for work. The only reason I switched was because I had gotten an MMO mouse for the plentiful buttons.
If they had a vertical MMO mouse, I would no question daily drive that one.
It just feels way more natural. It’s very comfortable. And as someone who works from home and spends 12+ hours at their desk most of the week, I want to ensure I’m comfortable.

I use it. It definitely takes a little maybe a week or two to get used to it but I can play games with it. League of legends, shooters, etc.

I use one at work but continue to use regular mouse at home for gaming. It helps greatly with shoulder or wrist fatigue/pain, but at the cost of precision. You’ll also frequently smack it when working around your desk because apparently it is impossible to learn that it has a higher profile. I can switch between the two daily with no confusion.

I have both left and right hand vertical mouse, which is really comfortable for work. When I use the mouse, my hand is basically relaxing, not like a normal mouse where you have to turn your wrist. Not good for gaming tho

Rocking a Logitech MX Vertical for 8 years and I don’t think I can use any mouse other than the Microsoft Sculpt I carry for travel which is just a smaller, rounder vertical mouse haha. I highly highly recommend both.

Using an evoluent 4 vertical mouse for work (3D modelling).
The large size is great for my big hands. Wireless lasts ages on a single rechargeable AA.
I will use a normal mouse for fps but for everything else it’s great with my busted wrist.

I use a Logitech M575 and it’s really good. Not super vertical, but you don’t have to move your hand at all, and that’s been great.

I did it for a while due to wrist pain and forearm pain. It seemed to help a little. Ultimately what helped me the most was changing my seating elevation and now I’m back to using a traditional mouse. But the vertical mice work just as well/same. It’s just a positional change, if its comfortable for you. Posture and seating height have a ton to do with what your wrist is going to be doing, so focus there too.

I have had the same mouse for two years, it is a purchase you will never regret.
Great for RTS, doodoocaca for shooter. Good thing I mainly play RTS.
Definitely not as horizontal as it could be.
