If you’ve got intake fans on top, it’s probably not ideal. If they are exhaust fans, it’s better but still not ideal.
If you have a dust filter on top, and the system isn’t overheating, no problem.

This can lead to your system significantly overheating. I would recommend getting a heated cat bed and putting it on your desk. Maybe spray some catnip on there to get your cat to sleep there, and give them some treats when they use it. You can also put some double-sided tape around the venting holes, cats hate sticky surfaces. But don’t without providing them with an alternative.

If you have fans blowing air out the top your going to have air restriction I saw someone bought a stand and sat it on the pc so their was a gap between the pc and the cat slept on it keeping the fans from being blocked

As long as she’s not covering the vents no problem. Cats love a pc, mine used to love a keyboard, when I took him to the vets to be put to sleep he went and laid on the vet’s keyboard 😢

Not bad at all for your personal cat. Naps will be warmed by the exhaust from your computer. The computer might get a little toasty though. Dusty as well.

In all honesty, it may add a few degrees to the internal ambient temperature of your system, cause exhaust airflow is impeded. If it’s not a filtered exhaust, you may get some extra cat hair in your system you need to clean out. But nothing too scary. Just clean your pc every few months with some canned air, don’t let massive hairballs build up, and you should be fine.
