An anonymous, simple, voluntary data survey about my relevant hardware details, with a clear and transparent purpose and collection endpoint? It’s almost like they put thought into making this a gainful, good experience.
It didn’t detect my primary GPU properly, instead choosing the Ryzen 7000 iGPU. That might just be a Linux bug though.
i mean, they ask first, telling you exactly what data they getting, what for and you’re allowed to see both your data and the statistic is going towards immediatly. people would be less bothered about data collection if it looked like this
How else are they gonna know I proudly still game on an over baked potato 11 years on. Gotta send that data! lol

I was blessed just two days ago.
I gladly give my info to the Most High Gaben so that my games may be built better. At least by developers that pay attention.
That moment when your rig is finally great to join the “average steam user” specs, It feels great to do the survey, I didn’t bother submitting before when I used a crappy intel pentium laptop to game.
I love how steam Hardware survey thinks my desktop is a laptop because I have a UPS
