You can’t review something on Steam until it’s out or if you don’t own it.

  2. Tu4dFurges0n

It’s even crazier that people are paying for it

Edit: At least sell them as NFT’s in this modern world

wow a new low for video game companies

JPEGs age like the finest of wines! These vintage JPEGs will only appreciate in value and quality! It’s these companies that are charging for worthless new JPEGs you have to watch out for!

I don’t necessarily think that they believe they will get $6 for each, but that they want to strengthen the “value” proposition of the deluxe edition.

Its purely cosmetic, its seperate from the Base Game, which offers all the Value for 30 bucks, and literally no one needs this. If you are so crazy over this game and want nostalgiamaxxing you probably bought the Premium edition anyway where this is included.

Yeah the price is ridicolous but its not like anyone actually needs this. Just dont buy and enjoy the Game

  7. This is kind of a nothing-burger.

I bought the Deluxe Version of the game and have been having a great time. **I don’t even use the classic portraits.** I’m more interested in the early-access, the expansions, and the Freyr DLC.

Like holy shit, if you really care about them that much you can just mod them for free, to look like whatever you want.

Besides there are plenty of other games with optional “player portrait cosmetic packs”. AoM is hardly the first game to do this.

Is it still over-priced? Oh yeah. Should you in any way feel any need to purchase it? …no.

    #Complete Non-Issue

It’s not a pre-requisite to play, and just bypass it.

  9. If the base game is good that’s the most important aspect, that DLC is clumsy but it’s nothing for me.

I’ll get the game given the positive feedbacks, I love that franchise

The game looks so good though, such a shame they are doing scummy crap like this

For those with GamePass, the standard edition is available on it.

Who cares? You can play it on gamepass, and if you really like it, pirate it.

MW2 2022 has a music pack for like 10 dollars and it’s just the menu and match start music from the 2009 game.

10 dollars for a bunch of old mp3 files that are free to hear in any device with sound and internet connectivity

Not hugely bothered by that seeing how insignificant that is to the gameplay. If people want to throw away €6 for that, fine.

It’s the overal game that seems rather lackluster and not worth the current price for people who already own a version of AOM and presumably played it to death.
~~I like how the addition of Freyr is named ‘New Gods pack: Freyr” ‘ on steam when it only adds the singular god. Neither ‘Gods’ nor ‘pack’ seem like apt descriptors~~. With no mention of future god packs in the premium version, it’s even weirder. You’d think they’d milk it with 3 future Gods packs.

Edit: Freyr is a major god, not minor, my bad.

Why even post an article from PCGamer?

It’s an outlet well known to make only rage-articles and clickbaits.

    It’s pure trash.

Do I look like I know what a jpeg is? I just want a copy of a got-dang video game

  17. What a silly take, this game was well worth the premium purchase

  18. Drittenmann

in my local currency it costs what i paid for factorio, wtf

‘m pretty sure they redid the art so it wasn’t the same 22 year old jpg, it was a new higher res image. They were meant to look the same, but a side by side shows difference (most notably Loki was wearing fur in the OG game, but the image from the pack there’s no fur).
