I just hope nvidia is not gonna charge for 5080 as much as they do for 4090
00X00_Potato
hoping the 5070/5070ti price aint complete shit
m270ras
they should just sli 2 4090s and call it a day. this is stupid, how can it even be called technological advancement?

Us AI hobbyist want that sweet, sweet VRAM. Please give me another scoop.
EIiteJT
$2k for 5080 and $2.5k for 5090?
DiarrheaButAlsoFancy

4080 Super owners like me. Don’t feel so bad if I miss the 50xx gen.
HEBushido
Lmao electricity in the summer is already too expensive. This is dumb.
I am apparently overestimating the cost
helloWorld69696969
We are literally nearing space heater type wattage lmao
abstractism
Yeah I’ll keep my 3060ti. It’s not the best but it definitely doesn’t require 1.21 GW.
Dark_ShadowMD
Oh, more expensive power bill! Amazing!
Keeping my card, thanks.
deefop
I don’t think anyone looking at the 5090 will be that upset, but 400w for the 5080w is kinda nuts.
TheRealTormDK
Looking forward to that display port 2.1 support.
StayProsty
Make it stop. Nvidia doesn’t give a single shit about the waste of electricity or people’s power bills, which are high enough as it is.
Cardinal_Virtue
I guess a 5070 will be over 1k here in EU
tomstone123
They said the 4090 was going to be a 600w monster before release. Don’t believe anything till the official release.
Viktri1
Will be interesting to see how they run not at peak wattage and what the curves are – I run my 4090 at 70% power, something around 200 watts. Blackwell hopefully will be even more power efficient.
KanedaSyndrome
Yeh I’m probably getting a 5080 or 5090 since I’m still using a 1080 Ti and will be doing game dev and AI research
shmiga02
Bro 600W ????? These things will be used as househeaters soon.
MrOphicer
That’s what you get with a monopoly. They can afford to do incremental upgrades just like Apple does, so they can have a huge roadmap of lunches without having to innovate that much hardware-wise, and push back the physics limits of how we currently build chips. Next year – more energy efficiency, the year after – more RAM. Another year, a new heatsink was to deal with a huge heat output of the cards. It’s not like the data centers have any other option but to buy Nvidia anyway.
endless_8888
10% over a 4090 is not enough to get me into a 5080 from a 4080.
With the sorry state of game releases on the horizon I’m a little at ease knowing I can cruise through 2025 without needing any PC upgrades.
5900X + 4080 really doing work.
VNilla_
I need a 5080. My pc is starving
TheBoobSpecialist
600W gets toasty!
katiecharm
Holy fuck is my 1000 watt PSU gonna be enough? Cause 800 sure as hell wouldn’t be. I’m not even sure if 1000 will make me comfortable; might need to go 1200 at least.
RainDancingChief
I haven’t used it but have heard good things about that Geforce service where you basically play the game over your Internet connection on a GPU running in a server somewhere. Seems like the way to go if you have the connection capabilities. Hell I’m sure a lot of people could have the option by bumping up their ISP package and break even/save money over half a dozen years instead of buying one of these. This is getting retarded.
VictorVonDoomer
How much will the 5070 cost? I was thinking of getting a 4070 super from a 2080 but if the 5070 is good and well priced I’ll just get that.
elquanto
I am so tired of nVidia just dumping more wattage into the product to get it’s performance gains, so damn wasteful.
ShortBrownAndUgly
200 watt increase from the 80 to 90 seems like a lot
yawatt
Me with my 650w psu and 6600xt

BigSmackisBack
They better fix the damned 16 pin, i dont want to see any more problems for the amount of cash these new cards will sell for
PacalEater69
At this point, the GPU should include a separate built in psu, just for the sake of it.
Vokasak
The community has already forgotten when similar “leaks” about the 4000 series ended up as a big nothingburger.
Iris-54
5060 targets 110W for 399$
ostrieto17
they will be generous with the RAM right? right??
Intelligent_League_1
get ready for 24vhpwr

There are some people here talking about “skipping” this generation when they already have 40-series cards.
Do you people buy new every generation? That’s stupid. Save your money, you don’t need to do this every time.
