Why Requiring A Persistent Connection Is A Bad Idea

Cold war doesn’t use servers for round based though. Iirc, only outbreak used Activision servers.

The round based portion is solely peer2peer

  2. That’s been an issue whenever you play online regardless of game but I 100% agree it will be a bigger issue this time around

  3. CW zombies is p2p it’s only vanguard onwards that dedicated servers are used

I mean its a valid issue but I’ve been dealing with stuff like that since bo2. I remember getting kicked out of games because my internet bumped. Its just… I’m used to it, you know? It won’t even bother me as much now because we’ll have the save load system

Hasn’t it been stated that if you lose connection in a solo match on BO6 it automatically saves your game and you can resume where you left off, with the new save and exit feature?

“Pausing, Saving, and Recovery: At any point during a game, the following can occur:

Pausing: You can elect to pause your Solo match to take a quick break. After a finite amount of time without continuing to play, the game will automatically save the match at the point it was paused. Load the save file to continue.
Saving: For the first time in Zombies, you can elect to save your Solo match at any time, provided you are at full health, aren’t downed, dead, or actively engaged in an Exfil. Load the save file to continue. Again, if enough time passes while you’re AFK, the game will automatically save your game state so you won’t lose your progress!
Recovery: On the rare occasion that the game’s servers, your internet, or a combination of the two conspire to prevent your continued enjoyment of the game, and you disconnect…

Solo Players: Load up your save close to the point in time you disconnected and continue from that point.”

That’s a crash always happens around round 50+

This is an issue that happens in any game as long as you’re not playing locally, and in BO6 it won’t really be an issue because of the saving feature
