Undervolt 5700X3D? High voltage and core temps with a 220w TDP cooler when running passmark

I recently got a 5700X3D + new cooler (Thermalright Soul 135 220w TDP) to play around with and noticed that it:

    1. It uses significantly more voltage and watts than my 5700X

    2. Has higher temperatures on the 220W TDP Cooler compared to my 5700X on a 150W TDP cooler. This gets up to 88’C in the cores (and close to 90’C in CCD #0) on a 220W TDP cooler whereas my 5700X on a 150W TDP cooler only maxed out around 70s ‘C.

    3. Seems to have a 6 degree C difference between the coolest cores and hottest cores on idle. My 5700X cores were all pretty similar.

I was wondering if these results were normal for a 5700X3D, and was wondering if people undervolt these in BIOS? I was able to use RyzenMaster to undervolt and play around with a 5700X but the program doesn’t seem to work with the 5700X3D.

  2. I haven’t undervalued at all and the highest power draw I’ve seen is 92w in occt. Something seems weird here. Have you changed your line load at all? Worth resetting the cmos imo.
