doubt it, super not efficient. your cooling the case not the amp. the case being hot doesnt matter.

Not sure why people are hating. This is a dumb solution if you’re spending money on it, but if you have the heatsink, it’ll work for sure.

Tube amps and tube hybrids just run hot. My liquid platinum gets so fking hot when it’s driving balanced XLR cans.

I have a iFi CAN and it get hot as well after a couple of hours, and literally thought yesterday how cool it would be if noctua made a miniature version of your cooler with small fans on to place on top and here we go.. cheers for making me suspicious of being in a real Truman show..

Yeah, we get it before there was Hawk Tua there was Noctua….. I’m gonna go ahead and say it I think it’s over hype. There are $20 coolers that work as well for most applications. I know this is going to get downvoted to hell, but Im not wrong. Things are overpriced and ugly as hell in the brown version

I have an old noctua d12 and d15. Only because I had 2 pc’s for gaming and now have one. It has a d15 on it and I still have spare 12/15.
I’ve been trying to find a home for it, but this gives me an idea.
Let’s put it on a raspberry pie lol.

Did you put thermal paate for better thermal transfer? Maybe water cool mod your amp. Also if it works it aint stupid.

NGL I did the same with an old stock intel cooler I had lying around, throw a thermal pad under it and it did a great job passively cooling my little zen can amp.

Would be funny and scary if the blade was turning due to the amount of heat generated from that amp.
But did you use thermal paste?
If you clamped it down somehow and used thermal paste like an actual CPU, I guarantee this would actually make a difference
