I hope it’s good and enough people buy it to support this customer-friendly decision.
I’m half tempted to preorder, but I’ve been burned too many times.

no denuvo and no DRM nowadays is more of a reason to actually buy a game

Inb4 doesn’t use it when it launches, but gets added like a day later.

Makes sense, I’m not aware of too many Focus Home Interactive published games that implement the DRM. They’ve probably done the math and figured out they can make more money overall by not having it. Including multiplayer, while not preventing piracy, helps pressure people to buy legit copies especially when its usually not user friendly to get it working on a none legit copy.

yea let’s see the support

I’ll just buy the game for this statement and never gonna play it, I did that with BG3 also.

I preordered it with a 20% off sale someone had the other day
I’m doing my part.

For online focused games DRM doesn’t seem necessary. Technically people could pirate the game and get it working online but that would be such a niche group it doesn’t seem worth it

Just waiting for reviews at this point. Looks like a fun game

So it’s coming out on GOG right?

I still find impressive that after seen the success of free-DRM games like Elden Ring and BG3, companies still think that if the game is denuvo-less, people are going to pirate it till no end, even if it’s being clear that doesn’t work like that. And it doesn’t have to be ER or BG3 levels of good to sell well, as many other games have, like most of PS3 ports.
I don’t know if they don’t trust their games enough or what, but it is stupid.

I would love to buy this game
But I know running it will melt my laptop’s motherboard

Half niche games like this are the ones that benefit the most from piracy, lots of people would no try them otherwise would end falling in love with it
