Actually PCs are set to fast boot by default. You can interrupt this by pressing shift while pressing the restart button, or interrupt the boot process 3 times to get to the boot menu

That’s why we Linux users use boot loader. They have an option for entering the BIOS, without smashing the keys.

You can just hold the keys usually. Also on Windows you can use the “advanced reboot” in settings.

go to command line then type “shutdown /r /o /t 0” this should make your pc go into advanced startup which you can go to bios from

We’re at a point now where Windows needs a reboot into BIOS option somewhere (not the Start menu). If such a thing already exists then it needs to be a tad more obvious.

Gigabyte motherboards have a desktop app that will let you alter BIOS configuration.
You can tell your system to reboot into the bios. You don’t even have to hold a key anymore.
Why would a hard drive have any effect on the mobo splash screen? Lol
