I recently finished Starfield, and before it was Hogwarts Legacy. I just started Link's Awakening (already played TOTK), but it didn't give me blue game vibes. So, help please…

Guess I should mention, I don't like online games and/or MMO's.

Easy Elden Ring with DLC. Just enjoy if you can.

The “blue” game to me was Rimworld. I’m not saying it’s the best game ever, it’s not even my favorite, but it did have very addictive gameplay that passed time really fast. Would sit down for an hour or so then see that it’s 4am. Could say the same for Palworld when it came to base management. These games just sucked up time like a black hole.

Honorable mention to Fallout NV/4 and Skyrim. Nowadays yeah I see a ton of flaws in these games (not so much with NV) and find them pretty boring after sinking hundreds of hours modding them, but the first playthrough was like crack.

literally any competitive title, they will suck out your soul (and sometimes your wallet)

  4. Escape from Tarkov. After 1000 hours you ask yourself if you ever actually had fun.

World of Warcraft, it will siphon your soul.

C’mon guys, I said no online games. Almost exclusively campaign solo games

Hades. The gameplay loop. It draws me in. It keeps me trapped.

Kingdom come deliverance. Imagine skyrim but with an actual interesting story and a better game

Satisfactory. 9 days and full release drops.

If you don’t mind 4X games, Age of Wonders 3/4 (they’re both very different from each other)

Stellaris for me. Finally broke the cycle and I am me again.

Witcher 3 or RDR2 could be your thing, depends on how you play, really

    Divinity Original Sin 2
    Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
    Endless Space 2
Outer Wilds, but it’s fairly short

Cyberpunk now with the updates and the DLC. I put eighty hours into it. I tried it at launch and bounced off HARD. Tried it again after the patches and really got lost in it like I haven’t with a game in a long time. It scratched an itch I didn’t even know I needed scratched.

Technically an MMO, doesn’t feel like one.

    Elite: Dangerous.

now imagine your friends recommending such a game:

“hey, wanna try some heroine and chill in one position for the next days?”

CK3 hours upon hours of gameplay, yet I’m not sure I’ve enjoyed 90% of it

  21. Blue games for me were:

Last day on earth (back in 2017-2018)
    minecraft (2018-19)
    planet crafter (2022-2023)
    palworld (2024)

You might see a trend here 😆
I am sucker for survival games, best if they are open world.
