There you go, at least the Lead Designer admits to it even if some players are in denial.

I don’t see the problem of having zombies be more accessible to MP players. Zombies always appealed to a niche audience. Now, that audience doesn’t have to be the niche anymore.

Classic zombies had unique aesthetics and established a great formula, before the transition into Warzone. Once you start unifying systems across every facet of the game, that’s when zombies starts to be deprived of a core identity. Designing the zombies mode around accessibility is great to a certain extent, however it has come at the expense of diluting quality and creativity. Stick to improving an established formula, with emphasis on innovation and leveraging full creativity in maps preserving the identity of zombies. Kevin Drew understands what made zombies special, yet the developers keep mandating mechanics from Warzone that are antithetical towards zombies.

Mechanics doesn’t have to mean UI and aesthetics. It means things like omni movement, weapon customization ect are unified. This isn’t a smoking gun like you think

Did people not think this already? They want every mode to be unified. I wouldn’t be surprised if regular multiplayer had armor plates and buy stations in a few years..

The fact that this is news to some people is shocking me.
They said this during Cold Wars run that they want more people playing zombies so to do that they wanted a unified system and then after Cold War they shared that it worked and more people are playing the mode now.
People who thought BO6 was randomly going to revert to something like BO2 Zombies either didn’t know this already or were delusional in thinking that the devs weren’t going to continue to try and grow their game mode.

If they aren’t gonna bother making a unique zombies experience then just don’t make it at all. It’s an insult to the players to just release a dumbed down version with multiplayer/warzone elements and call it Zombies

My issue more 9s the hud and aesthetic. Because besides that I really liked the idea of having more mp features like armos and SOME, I mean SOME scorestreaks into zombies

This is the big problem for me. Zombies shouldn’t feel like multiplayer, it should feel unique.
