This isn’t too surprising. Bad news equals more bad news. Developers and companies are never on the same page. And over promising and under delivering.

Leave it to Gearbox to fumble the bag on such an easy win.

  3. However much Gearbox gets hated on is just not nearly enough.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET RANDY PITCHFORD AWAY FROM GAME DEVELOPMENT

HE IS A NARCISSISTIC EGO MANIAC WHO HAS TO PUT HIS HANDS ON EVERYTHING AND MAKE THEM OBJECTIVELY WORSE AND IT DOES NOT MATTER IF SOMETHING IS WRITING ON THE WALL GONNA BE SHIT, HE WILL PUSH IT FORWARD TO FUEL HIS EGO LIKE GETTING HIS OWN LITTLE HOLLYWOOD MOVIE

HE REFUSES TO TAKE CRITICISM BECAUSE HE IMMEDIATELY WRITES OFF ANY ACTUAL CRITICISM HE GETS AS JUST INTERNET TROLLS AND BACKHAND COMPLIMENTS EVERYONE WHO SAYS ANYTHING NEGATIVE LIKE “ermmmm so what you’re saying is my team makes better stories than some of the biggest names in Hollywood?? Ermmm THANKS”

Like no Randy, BL3 was dog shit and you haven’t made a decent game in a fucking decade and a half

He needs to be removed from upper management because his ego gets in the way of success

Not only that, it’s affecting the base game too. So much so that checking recent steam reviews, it’s at 58% positive for the last 3.5K ish reviews

    That’s reallllll bad

Does this shit ruin my game even if I don’t buy the dlc?

The expansion isn’t particularly good either even excluding the bugs to be honest. Survivors are passable but have animations that are just about comparable to modded survivors. A lot of the items they added are atrocious and insta-scrap – for a game based on dodging enemy attacks and surviving why do we need more items that require you to take damage?

I mainly love the stages and new music but most of them are only accessible through the new green portals and can’t be accessed through the usual rotation, something the game really needed.

The moment I saw elite elder lemurians before stage 4 (in multiple numbers…) I knew they messed with the directors. Gearbox have clearly shown that they don’t know how the game works based on the items they’ve added (it’s diluted the item pool in a bad way) combined with the difficulty spike.

I refunded and downpatched so I’m enjoying the game again. I’m just very sad this is what’s happened to a game I’ve been playing for 5 years. It’s been close enough the worst case scenario that we were hoping wouldn’t happen under Gearbox.

PC is in a really bad place?
Last I had seen the console version didn’t work at all.

    >for some reason, the Seekers of the Storm update has tied Risk of Rain 2’s physics systems to its frame rate

    What the fuck

I can’t even play the game on Xbox, the main menu is broken

Of all the companies that have failed over the last decade, how Gearbox wasn’t one of them is simply mind blowing.

The fucking grease lord CEO deserves a life of misery.

I’m sorry, did you just say Randy Pitchford admitted something was wrong?

This is why Randy is a bonafied retar–

Couldn’t imagine working for an idiot like him.

Hopoo created one of the best indie games of all time just to besmirch its reputation and legacy by selling the IP to one of the most dogshit companies in the gaming industry, shame
