Nice, just bought 7600 non X.
Saw the rumors, but now I can breath out
$299 feels a little pricey when the 7800x3d is 80 ish bucks more for 2 more cores and slightly higher clocks. Then again, it’ll probably smoke Zen5 for gaming, so in that sense it’ll have value. Still, when the 7600 is available for like $180, it just feels like if you’re gaming, you should either buy the 7600 which is the budget route(and still gives you great gaming performance), or just step all the way up to the 7800x3d and get the best gaming CPU that exists and ride it until the end of AM5.
Hopefully Zen 5 x3d really delivers, especially in conjunction with the Windows updates that seem to be adding a decent chunk of performance.

$299 seems pretty high unless they’re going to put it in a bundle with a motherboard and RAM for less than the 7800X3D bundle. A bundle with 7800X3D, RAM, and motherboard is $550 right now.
