Man, if only Liberty Falls was set at night and had a few crystals lying around the town… this whole war would’ve been avoided lol (or at least postponed until launch)
As a Banana boy enjoyer. I am excited for Black Ops 6. Liberty Falls looks fine to me, there are some areas of the map that look amazing. I do think the normal looking nature of it makes it vastly different to other maps. However, I think it’s a unique environment we never really get maps in small civilian towns, let alone during an ongoing outbreak instead of the aftermath. So while it’s not as pretty as Terminus, I think I’ll have a lot of fun on this map.
Maps set not at nighttime: Shangri-La, Kino Der Toten, Shi No Numa, Verruckt, Call of the Dead, Moon, Die Rise, Buried (mostly underground though), Origins, Der Eisendrache, Gorod Krovi, Revelations
Anyone thinking it would be a simple time change to drastically change this void and boring soulless atmosphere is kidding themselves. So many maps have great atmosphere regardless of the time of day. How the hell did they do it? Oh, I know, because these maps were designed around being zombies maps, not war zone
OH B-BUT MUH DER RIESE! Cool. I’m not speaking in binaries. And that’s not a war zone map. Clearly there is something in the recent development process of making war zone centric maps that doesn’t lend itself to zombies. Just because maps like Der Riese, Ascension, and Five were successful despite having reused assets doesn’t negate the fact that these new maps are horrible and clearly afterthoughts because you slop eaters will buy it up and they can lower their operating costs. If anything, you’re just proving the fact the new maps are *extremely* lazy, since we’ve been shown reused assets can lead to great maps if some love and thought is put into them, which are clearly lacking in the new games.
