The architecture debate is really dumb. Yes ARM chips are more efficient right now, but x86 isn’t inherently that much worse than it. Good chip design and device power management isn’t, or rather shouldn’t, be exclusive to any chip architecture.
I’m all for more competition and more options, and I really want to see ARM chips and RISC-V chips succeed, but I also want to see x86 chips step up to the challenge too.

AFIK ARM performance is there isn’t it? The problem is the ecosystem isn’t there (at least on windows it isn’t). Which is probably a better problem to have, because the tooling and knowledge it creates will pave the way for more ISAs than just ARM. >!Hopefully!<

Congrats! ARM chips have taken over!
Now all CPUs, laptop and desktop, are soldered to the board and RAM and storage are one step away from being soldered too.
