Looking to increase some airflow and drops temps in my PC case.
I own a PNY 4080 GPU, there’s a few slots below the GPU and power supply and I’m considering installing this pci fan at the bottom to increase circulation. It’s essentially dead space.
(Currently maxed on fans, 2×120 in, 3×120 out) the case is the limiting factor here unless someone has an interesting idea.
My concern is, I’m not entirely sure if it’s a good idea because the GPU has 3 fans, one of which is in the opposite orientation.
(TBH I don’t understand the flow of the card)
Any insight/recommendations would be appreciated.

I had one of these back in the day and all it did was make my pc sound like a rocket ship. Made 0 difference with or without it. You’re better off installing fans on the bottom of the case to draw in fresh cool air if possible otherwise skip it.
I think it will make basically no difference except increasing noise. If temperatures are a real problem then it might be worth trying to replace the intake fans in the front but I’m not sure how good the current ones are so it might also make no difference.
I would buy better case fans than the ones you have, increase the airflow like that, it would work way better than this blower fan.

I have a very interesting idea that will absolutely without doubt increase the airflow *in your case* instead of increasing the airflow outside of your case:
Try 3x in and 2x out, instead of just sucking your nice fresh cool air out of the case before it even has a chance to cool anything lmao. Never in the history of PC’s has a system needed more exhaust than intake, what are you even trying to achieve with that?
All three fans on your GPU push air into it’s heatsink.
That slot blower exhausts air out of the case.
All it would do is steal air from the GPU fans and dump it out the back before it has a chance to cool anything.
You can get slot blowers like that which are screwed into the slot cover, meaning they can be flipped to push air into the case.
I’ve used one as an intake before, it made exactly zero difference, except added noise.
At the bottom, wouldn’t it just be pulling cool air away from the graphics card’s intake and blowing it out of the case?
Yes
You just transported me back to 2003 bro. They really don’t do shit. They’re loud and don’t move a lot of air. Your better bet is to get better intake fans (high flow)
Well bitch slap me back to the late 90s early 2000s why dont you
i would not, that is a exhaust fan, a intake would help, now if you zip tied 2 [NF-A6](https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NF-A6x25-PWM-Premium-Quiet/dp/B00VXTANZ4) fans on the back of the case below the GPU as intake you would see a massive improvement
note that you could just take the front bezel off the case and get a MASSIVE improvement
I haven’t seen one of those in years
Just remove your glass panel or front filter panel until you get a better case
*edit: molex fucking sucks too, i recently had to connect two of them for my razer chroma hubs.
If you are maxed put in fans and still have thermal issues, it won’t be solved adding more fans.
You meed better solution (depending what generate so much heat)

This is how airflow for GPU’s work.
That cooler will waste money at best, further hurt your cooling at worst.
In theory a good idea, in pretty stupid.
Make the fans spin faster.
or
Case swap to something with more intake fans.
