This game was free with PlayStation plus so I thought I’d download it and give it a try since I’d never played an NHL game. And there was no tutorial or way to learn the game.

I don’t remember which year it was but I was ince playing NHL and an opposing player shot the puck, it missed the net, hit the glass, the goal light turned on, and it was counted as a goal…

My first two games in Be a Pro I watched players teleport across the ice.
I got it free with PS+, I LOVE hockey, and I still think I paid too much. I’ve been seeing the exact same bugs for 5 generations now

It’s the same with every EA Sports Game. Their fucking huge spagetthi code contains so much rubbish that there are bugs all over the place. Bad netcode (in online play) combined with way to many animations result in differences between what the games RNG calculated and what you see.
This is what happened here. The game calculated “no goal” but too late, the animations didn’t know what to do until it was too late. Then the puck warped into the goalies hands.
I do an almost yearly deep dive into that shit because it drives me crazy in FIFA, now EAFC.
