That fan is terrible. Just get a USB C gen 2×2 m.2 enclosure. Speeds on mine are crazy and it doesn’t sound like a jet engine

The fan doesn’t do anything other than spin, it’s completely worthless, I would rather buy a 1TB USB drive with no moving parts…

Probably useful if you have a spare 2230 ssd lying around. I would prefer a full sized 2280 enclosure that can be found cheaper. Then if at some point when you don’t use this enclosure anymore, you could easily transfer the ssd to a desktop

this seems cool but that’s 2230 SSD which is usually more expensive. the rule can 90% of the time be for 2230 SSDs is twice the price half the storage then a 2280 SSD because the 2230 is far more gimmicky then 2280, best use for a 2230 is but it in your Steam Deck/any other handheld PC
