I feel like I’m in the minority here, but I miss how zombies used to be. I’ve been playing since WAW and I can honestly say my favorite version of zombies was what we got from WAW-BO2. I liked the old two hit down system without jug, it brought challenge to the game. I have nothing against BO3, but I felt like the extra hit they gave and being able to turn any bullet weapon into a wonder weapon was the beginning of the decline in the challenge. I didn’t use mega gobblegums when I played BO3 because it made the game even less challenging. I understand graphics need to and will get better over time, but I liked the cartoony feel to the older games. I’ve been playing more Cold War recently, even though I really don’t like it, but I’ve been playing it because word around the street is BO6 is like Cold War 2.0 … so I need to get acquainted with the features and mechanics. Zombies used to be my favorite game, but I really feel like the best years are behind us. I’m going to try to find some enjoyment in BO6 because I already pre ordered it, but I just wish Treyarch thought more about the players who prefer the old formula, instead of making zombies too easy and too similar to multiplayer/warzone. Can anyone help restore my faith in the mode and convince me that all these changes truly are for the better?

Modern warfare for the multiplayer, treyarch for multiplayer and zombies

Agree with WaW-BO2 being the golfer age. Ultimas/ terminus is the best story in zombies.

I don’t think they are all for the better but it’s kinda a 4year presidency situation. As soon as the first head dev left and Jason Blondel took over he went about removing and changing everything he didn’t like about the previous administrations games and replaced them with what he felt was best and the same thing for the new dude since CW and whoever takes over next will do the same.

You gotta ask yourself is it worth it to you to hang up your hat and move on over the changes even if they are for the worse objectively. Or do you love the good parts for what they are enough to forgive the bad.

For me vanguard and MWZ are a no I don’t like what they have done (although MWZ has grown on me but it’s mostly because it’s so different as long as it doesn’t replace round based I can live with it) and I won’t participate. Same could be said for a major chunk of CW I hated the final map and whatever the open world mode is called (been a while) so much I won’t play them even to beat the EE but the rest of the game I can live with and enjoy for different reasons than the OG game.

It’s a perspective thing I say you give BO6 a shot even if that just means watching gameplay once it’s in full swing and then decide if it’s worth the money.

  3. Agree with this. I’ll play BO6 as I did Cold War and im sure I’ll enjoy it. But no where near as much I do WAW – BO2. There is lots of things I don’t like about modern zombies, salvage , tiered weapons, load outs, enemies other than zombies “I know we had this in other games but these new enemies just seem stupid/out of place ”, crafting, armor.

In the exact same boat as you the older zombies graphics just looked so much better idk how it’s possible the better the graphics got the worst it actually looked, I felt like treyarch made zombies more into an arcade mode like the sounds of shooting zombies in bo3 sounds like paint balls hitting them compared to waw-bo2
