I’m old dude, consoles have never been a thing among me or my friends.

My friends and I all started getting PS5s as we got older, we used to play on PC as teenagers but honestly it’s been pretty good

    I dont socialize with consoloids.

    So none.

  5. NotJustBibbit

Actually they converted me. And I couldn’t be happier

  6. ApexRevanNL716

I haven’t destroyed the other entertainments

    A few.

I did one unintentionally because I was just moving onto PC a lot more myself because for me PS3/360 was adopting all the negatives of PC without the benefits (updating, downloads, a lot of online stuff)

So my friend brought over his 360 to show me his skyrim character and he was way ahead of me. Had a lot of impressive stuff and I was just like “Damn man you’re crazy OP, as usual – nice!” he insists I show him my character and I’m no where near as far as him. But, ok.

I boot up my save, show him about my house which- I barely did anything with, showed how I fought people and he became oddly quiet. No comments, no telling me I’m doing it wrong. Weird.

This is ages ago and he slept over my house for a few days at at time if he could (he had a military house so he liked having less of that). But he left his 360 at my house, didn’t want it.

Asks me to build him a PC shortly after and I did.

What happened was as he was watching the load times were so, drastically different where it was like IDK 10 seconds to get into a house and 30-40 seconds for quick travel vs next to no time at all + the performance was way higher. So when he went quiet he was actively annoyed how much of a gap there was.

I didn’t even have a high end machine either. So he’s been mostly PC since and same on my end.

Legit wasn’t trying to convince him or whatever but skyrim on 360/PS3 was damn rough

2 in 5 months. Gave my brother a 11700K/32gb/rtx3070 system for Christmas, and gave a good friend of mine a 5600X/16gb/RX6700XT for his bday this spring.

Both only use their consoles for streaming apps now 🤣

FWIW I’ve owned every iteration of xbox since the 360. Although my Series X might be the last console I purchase.

  9. OneModernRelic

No one yet. Same ole argument. It’s too expensive and I have to know C++ and Python and the Metric system and how to read a mother board schematic and have an electrical degree and install (gasp) drivers and use…. Dun dun DUN a keyboard and mouse. Losers

Converted 4 people so far, working on another

  11. giantfood

I started on PC. (Unless you count N64, GBA, or PS1)

I wanted to play with friends so I got a Xbox 360. So I played both.

Now, if the game has crossplay with Xbox, I play on PC. Else I play single player on PC and with friends on Series X.

My buddy and I played cod zombies on Xbox all of the time. We loved BO3 the most, but we played all the way up until Cold War. I moved to PC about when BO4 released and completely phased out my Xbox about six months later due to constantly moving and joining the navy. Now, we only play Cold War zombies since its cross platform. I am trying to bring him into the master race, but it’s slow going. Lol

Never really had any friends as the ones I thought were just screwed me in some way. But personal issues aside the friend I do have has never had a console and has always been pc. I’ve had a Nintendo when I was 10,Then after I joined the military I got a PS1,2,3 but only cause they were easier to carry on ships and planes. Now we don’t even have a console in the house cause we have three gaming PCs for my son my wife and myself.

I’m not against consoles cause they are an affordable way for those that can’t afford a proper pc to play games. I just personally don’t like them due to the imprisoned feeling of having to pick certain games to play based on console type.

Its funny bc Im the only one that did this. Most of my friends still play Consoles even now since Highschool from PS3,PS4, PS5 (Yes Most of them are PS users lol) I tried telling them to get a PC but they dont want & they are used to playing on console already so most of them dont bother & they say its more expensive to get PC. (Annoying part is they play the almost same games for almost a long time now like 2K, FIFA, COD but early COD days were fun asf tho & there some that enjoy Dark Souls, Elden Ring, RDR2, Bloodborn, or single story games etc. . .)
It is what it is, I cant force them thats why I do both so I can play with them so its win-win still lol

    I’m converting myself. I don’t have friends.

  18. viperli7

  19. Pure_Spyder

I use both, and gamepass ultimate let’s me still play with my Xbox friends

  20. FloppyVachina

At least 3. I had one buddy though that decided to get a 4500$ mac instead of the most badass pc money can buy. He barely uses it and he’s a little bit dead to me.

  21. Dangerous_Mouse_8439

Consoles are for married men. Their wives already think they are capable of starting an affair from scratch in the 15mins it takes to get gas. It’s better for their mental health if she thinks he is just on a console.

  22. prideinthenameoflove

There’s so many crossplay games now a days it doesn’t really matter. With that being said I still own all of my current gen consoles.

  23. Konchroller

They’re called “Console Plebs” for a reason. Same as how this sub has its name for a reason..
