  1. Long story short, the characters were very badly designed and generated no hype.

  2. They really thought that 40$ hero shooter game will make impact nowdays? What a waste

    buy to play

Debut trailer doesn’t match actual gameplay whatsoever

Awful character design (even the R34 people won’t touch it)

    Profit? Apparently not.

Games just need to be games now.

It’s used for escapism / fun, I don’t want to be beaten over the head with a “message” – I always like everyone regardless of religion, gender etc basically unless you’re a nazi.

These messages won’t make an intolerant person see the light and suddenly accept others so games should just focus on being good.

Live service games that work are the exception. I don’t know why they think this is all we want…

Another hero shooter game… what could go wrong?

People here are comparing it to Helldivers 2 situation. But that comparison is just flawed.

I don’t understand why people refuse to accept a reality

Helldivers 2 is game concept you literally can’t find on the AAA market. So, of course people were willing to spend on it

Concord is derivative combination of Overwatch 2, Destiny 2 and few other hero shooters and while it’s big competitors are free-to-play, Sony decided it would be smart to charge 40$ for it.

Game was just destined to fail

Yesterday I couldn’t find a match in third playlist on PS5 during peak EU hours with cross-play on. It’s just tragic.

And funny thing is that almost everybody told Sony that charging 40$ is stupid. But they went with it anyway.

I feel bad for the devs. Not the bigwigs and the MBAs that OKed this shitshow, but the actual coders, artists, etc. They did get paid (hopefully) while working, but imagine blowing literally years working on something that just gets thrown into the garbage bin of history in under a week, because the money people with stopwatch hearts and numbers over their eyes thought it was a good idea. That has to be soul-crushing.

  9. Pretty disappointing they wasted so much talent on this mess.

  10. BitingArtist

Saturated market = time to find new trend to chase. Or just make good games.

  11. Let me tell you about the tragedy of Debut Concord the Waste…

  12. majinoni

I’m not sure how this is tragic. The devs went out of their way to make a game that even casual shooter fans didn’t want to play.

  13. MediatedDisc438

They’d have been better off making it free and selling skins like the rest of greedy corpo. BUT, shows exactly that they dont care about gamers.

Can someone tell me what all these hero shooters flooding the market are?

Cause right now I see that we have:

    Overwatch

    Marvel Rivals (Soon)

    And then there’s….. What else?

  15. MonkeDiesTwice

It’s a game made for people that don’t play games.

  16. geeky_pastimes

They didn’t do a good job marketing this. I spend ages every day reading about games and had no idea this was out

  17. TheBiolizard

    Oh noooo… who could’ve seen this coming…

  18. ValeLemnear

The trailer doesn’t reflect the tone and content of the actual game, which is a generic hero shooter with some questionable design choices made and thrown into an oversaturated market with better as well as often cheaper alternatives.

  19. PainerReviews

This game has more pronouns than players

  20. The $40 price tag is a real killer in today’s market for a game like this

  21. OSI_Hunter_Gathers

It’s as if a group of MBA’s got together and made a game.

  22. I’m sure the 697 playing are very diverse

  23. calb3rto

Isn’t the game made by a bunch of former Bungie devs? Those guys used to be the absolute peak of art design in the past. This games art looks generic as fuck…

And yeah, yet another hero shooter…

  24. ThatDucksWearingAHat

Hopefully after this blunder they’ll go back to making things people want instead of making things THEY want to be able to sell to people in perpetuity. -hopefully- this is enough of a face plant that they change for the better but corps are more and more out of touch as the days go by and they were already totally out of it.

  25. throwacc_21

I hope they make more so they can lose more money

  26. jedibot80

Yeah and limitng it only to psn supported countries may have been another factor why this did not click.

  27. IRMacGuyver

Today is literally the first time I heard of this game.

  28. That’s worse than that that vampire shooter ain’t it? That’s a bummer.

  29. Vanilla3K

honestly, unpopular opinion but i liked the character design. The monetisation model, not so much. Let’s say i’m not surprised, buy to play live service is insanely risky
