I don’t think I’ve ever seen an ad in my win 11 start menu.
Unturned a couple of bits off when I first installed and haven’t had any problems.

Doesn’t Windows 10 have ads disguised as “suggestions”? I don’t have Windows 11 and I turned off the suggestions a long time ago but I do remember there was an uproar about ads on Windows 10.
And if ads only appear when clicking the profile picture in the start menu, why not skip it entirely?
Lock => Windows key + L
Log out, switch user and lock => Ctrl + Alt + Del, click appropriate option
