Used to have a console for the bedroom. Replaced it with a long fuckin HDMI from my PC in the computer room.

Yes it’s better, but it is also more expensive. I still prefer it.

It doesn’t even need to be high end, consoles are so far behind in order to keep their prices affordable. A PS5 has less gfx power than a 1080ti released in 2017.

Using moonlight to stream my games from my PC to my TV in the living room so I can game on the couch has replaced any advantage a console ever had for me.

I bought and built a pc years ago to play with my friends. had a 1080ti and all the good stuff at the time. I always found myself going back to the xbox… ended up selling the pc just months later. I realize saying something like this on this subreddit is suicide but oh well.

I’m happy that I’m an adult and can enjoy both

The thing that sucks about PCs is driver updates, Windows problems and troubleshooting. If consoles had the power of a high end PC, I’d switch real quick.

I wouldn’t want to miss my desktop, but I also wouldn’t want to be without my PS5, Switch, Steam Deck, etc. They all bring me enjoyment in their own way.

Then you go back after buying anything made by intel.

Man it doesn’t even have to be high end.

It helps if you start with something that’s directly parallel to the console you play on. But if you stick with it you’ll find so many little things you like that won’t ever be on a console.
