Turns out people aren’t interested in a generic hero shooter with a $40 price tag when the market is already saturated with hero shooters that are free to play.

It will probably go f2p in a month or two, but it still won’t be worth the time, the hard drive space, or the download bandwidth…

😂😂😂 they identify as a “huge failure”

  4. SpaceSolid8571

Is it bad that I never heard of this game before?

  5. derpandlurk

It’ll hit PS+ before the end of the year, why would anybody buy it now?

  6. I’ve never even heard of this game until today.

I don’t know when was the last time I saw a game this big, fail this hard, and it has little to do with it being bad or broken, but purely because there’s absolutely no audience for it. This game could be shut down real fast since they aren’t on the hook for any extra content like season passes.

I genuinely feel bad for the developers that worked on it, though. That’s a long development cycle for 600 people to try out.

  9. Griffith_Skywalker

i honestly think it wouldve been a fun f2p game

the name and logo look like something you’d see an engine introduction when you launch a game.

  11. Too bad execs can’t see all the sales of single player games as worth investing in. Still chasing those elusive whales with more money than sense.

They should’ve made Concord a story-based action with co-op. If the main appeal of Concord is the new weekly cinematic cutscenes then why not just make a full story campaign from the very beginning. They had 8 Years and millions of dollars to do it. Instead, they wasted it to develop another hero shooter PvP.

Glad to see that all of the modern audience picked it up

  14. SameRandomUsername

I didn’t know it was already up.

  15. fetter80

Dude you way overpaid! Game goes for like $40.

  16. F1erceE1ements

    This is a classic failure.

    Repeated so many times.

Over-budgeted release in a genre already matured to the point of players having their preferred IPs.

If I was a shareholder in this “equity” I would be furious with the direction taken.

This is when Sony gets paid in exposure

  18. Real-Variation-8681

I wonder what the pitch room looked like:

Developer: “so hear me out… What if we made overwatch, but with none of the charm, 8 years too late, but now for a *modern audience*!”

Developer 2: “umm will it have cringey ‘welp that just happened’ millennial writing?”

Developer 3: “you bet your hecking chungus it will, kind stranger!”

    Like who TF greenlit this?

  19. How bad is it? But yea, so many other options in that genre that are f2p.

  20. Wungusgrungus

Maybe don’t make ass games. I can’t imagine being on the team working on this game and thinking “yup this will sell and be worth our time.” Why bother.

  21. Dry_Chipmunk187

The studio was purchased for $300 million by Sony and it was in development for 8 years.

Are you sure it’s only $100 million down the drain?

  22. awake283

I know its kind of a meme at this point but it just had the ugliest characters Ive ever seen in a video game. They’re all fat or weird or just generally ugly to look at.

  23. DangerNoodle695

Really out here getting Splitgate numbers
