Two of the best ong but I haveeee to go with Mob here, so many unique playstyles and mechanics that made its way to this map imo. Afterlife, hell’s retriever, EE, unique characters, Acidgat, etc. A powerhouse of a map

I love Mob so much but my main gripe is its difficulty. It’s pretty hard to die or end your game accidentally with the 3 infinite rezs you get.
Also I think SOE is quite possibly the most well laid out map of all time, it really perfected the fast travel system and the 3 Lane Kino, Der Riese type map with twist.
Mob can get real tedious running around it. It really needed Stamin-up the most but they didn’t bother, I think it’s such a huge oversight from the devs.
(Also rant. Why not add Mule-Kick and PhD? Like how can you possibly not? Adding perk variety to the map does nothing but improve the gameplay variety. Maybe PhD would make it **too** easy because of the Acid Gat but it’s already a relatively easy map all around honestly)
Edit: You also have to recollect gas canisters? Like why? I don’t see why they couldn’t just make it a Kino thing and have it refresh every round.
It’s just adds to the tedium unnecessarily, although I do really enjoy the bridge.

Tough one.
Mob goes hard as fuck, from the intro to the Blundergat to the Hells retriever/redeemer, to being able to choose between two endings. Not to mention the huge importance this map plays into the story, with either continuing the cycle or breaking it. The location might outright be the most iconic we’ve ever seen. Since MOTD came before Origins, i’ll say that Mob laid out the foundation, that most successful maps/easter eggs, was built around.
SOE on the other hand, does everything right. From the map layout to the Apothicon Servant/Sword, to the Margwas and the easter egg. The entire Cthulhu theme is absolutely incredible imo.
Hard pick, but ima have to go with MOTD.

I think both are almost perfect maps in their own right, and they have some of my favourite aesthetics across all of cod
