Well…. That’s the last time I trust Amazon’s desk measurements.

If it helps you’re not supposed to have your PC sitting on carpet anyways lol

  2. igotshadowbaned

The imgur comments blaming OP for not measuring the desk confuse me

My dumb ass was looking at the first pic like “what are they talking about? The desk fits. What could possib– *scroll scroll*– oooooooooh.”

  4. Dude, there’s not enough of desk space for a mousepad.

  5. nocoolN4M3sleft

Sucks that’s the desk dimension we’re off. I empathize, happened to me with my last desk.

Side note: probably shouldn’t have your PC blocking the vent, even in the desk slot. Unless that’s not an intake.

I doubt it would help but can you put it on the shelf there from the side and tilt it on angle? Similar to a couch in a doorway.

Can you return it? I find Ikea to be the best route for cheap furniture that you can walk into the store and measure first.

I think you are wrong, the measurements are never done “inside the space” but outside. But what ever, get a new desk.

Bigger question – is your GPU in the bottom x16 lane? Does your motherboard have fill bandwidth on the lower lanes?

The measurements may be correct, and maybe they did the measurements on the outside of the bars, and you assumed it was on the inside. Either way, that sucks.

  12. James2Go

Measurement are usually external, from one end to the other end including the thickness of the material.

It sucks when you have to fit something in the interior

  13. Jesus, barely any room for a mouse and keyboard too.

Slight tangent, but that Phanteks case kicks ass. So easy to work on and plenty of expansion options.
I think it’s my forever case.

  15. i thought my gpu wasnt gonna fit and i would have to rearrange my radiator but it fit

David Letterman warning label segment: All measurements are approximate.

Amazon sucks. It’s flooded with Chinese storefronts selling the same cheaply made products with a different nonsensical brand name thrown on it. They make it impossible to visualize the size of anything because they photoshop items into pictures at ridiculous and inconsistent scales. Look up litter boxes or cat trees on Amazon and see how ridiculously they scale the cats with the products to make them seem much bigger than they are. On top of that reviewers regularly reveal that the items dimensions do not match the descriptions and the quality and durability is far worse than the image or description tells you. You search area rugs and almost everyone of them is more like a printed fleece blanket than it is a rug..

Amazon has become a truly shitty place to shop, and unfortunately a lot of other online retailers are following them. I think you’re much better off going to thrift and antique stores and looking for more unique, sturdy furniture. Or if you’re going for minimalist and modern, maybe you have an IKEA near you. Even Target and WalMart furniture is better than most of what you’ll find on Amazon now.

Lmfao the comments there are hilarious

Return it and get another! 🙂

I dont trust anything the amazon description says. Most of it is bs written by other people or 3rd party sellers. Its worse than eBays “AI” description that scraps similar postings for generating a description.

Amazon transformed into a a shitty version of Alibaba. Search doesnt even work anymore.
