TBH, thats a big part of why I play just single player games now.
I never want to experience that pain again, it was awful, I developed legitimate friendships that damn near broke me when… what happened had happened, id rather just game in silence now.

99% of my friends never play what I play, so I basically have no gamer buddies outside of two who I rarely see. One is my gf, and the other person is in the UK, so our timezones don’t line up usually.

I have one of those friends and his timing is incredible. Every single time he appears right after rest of group is about to stop for the evening. As far as I know his work also starts in the morning, so I don’t get why he only plays between 11pm – 2am. It feels bad to always say “sorry we about to quit”, but we have also told him when we play and that he is welcome to join earlier. Our group has a pretty free flowing system of if you are up to playing then go to groups discord channel and start playing any multiplayer game. Others see that someone is playing and just join. If all can’t play the same game then we usually just change to something everyone can play.
